Diagnosis, management, clinical research, and general information on neurological disorders are provided through a variety of programs, including:

The service also provides treatment for Parkinson’s Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Huntington’s Disease, myasthenia gravis, and epilepsy.

Major research facilities include one of five of the nation’s amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) clinics funded by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA); one of three centers in the nation established for the study and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease; one of two centers in the nation to receive NIH funding for neonatal seizures; and one of eight centers to receive NIH funding for epilepsy research.
